Jesse Ford

Graduate Research Assistant

Jesse Ford serves as a graduate research assistant providing administrative support to the CPS team. He is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education program at Florida State University (FSU). His research interests include the influence of race and gender on graduate education and how historical systematic racism has impacted the development of Black Americans in the academy. Prior to his work at FSU, he served as an Assistant Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at the University of Miami, where he developed the College Mentality Program, a program design to assist in the matriculation and retention of Black male undergraduate students and provided diversity, cultural, and social justice programming for students.

Jesse earned his bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Communication at Coastal Carolina University, a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina.
